Ten time Grammy Winner, CHAKA KHAN toured Australia in June 2008 as part of her 35th Anniversary World Tour - with shows in Melbourne and Sydney. MARCIA HINES was her very special guest.

From her earliest days as a performer with seminal 1970s funk band, Rufus, her fans have included the A-list of music business royalty – such as STEVIE WONDER and QUINCY JONES – and the hits she contributed to with Rufus, Tell Me Something Good, Masterjam, Sweet Thing, Do You Love What You Feel? and Once You Get Started and Ain’t Nobody still evoke great memories of what R&B used to be. Her solo hits have had just as much success. I’M EVERY WOMAN shot to NUMBER 1 on the R&B charts, Move Me No Mountain and Clouds highlighted her impressive singing range and I FEEL FOR YOU was also an incredible global success.
Chaka brought her unmistakable singing style down under where she revisited ALL HER CLASSIC HITS – everything from disco to sweet soul and funk-drenched rap. In addition to all those favourite songs, Chaka Khan showcased her most recent album – her first new studio album in ten years – Funk This.
Just like Chaka Khan, Marcia Hines’ career has been long and impressive and with hits spanning four decades, and a brilliant new album, Life. Marcia performed a mix of old classics and new hits and wowed the audience.
