After two decades as a solo artist, the UK-born singer/songwriter, Joe Jackson returned to his roots - to play all his classic hits on an international tour that came to Australia commencing on The Gold Coast on 19 May and included performances in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
You will have remembered the hits. There’s the breakthrough Is She Really Going Out With Him?, from 1979’s ‘Look Sharp’ album, and the much-loved songs from his hugely successful, Top Ten 1982 album, ‘Night And Day’ - Real Men, Steppin’ Out and Breaking Us In Two and Happy Ending from his 1984 album ‘Body and Soul’. It’s no wonder that Joe Jackson has received an impressive five Grammy nominations in a career spanning three decades.
